12-Hour Initial Security Guard Training
This course is designed for new security guards seeking Maryland state certification and provides the foundational knowledge required to begin work in the security profession.
The 12-hour program covers all MPCTC-required topics for initial certification, with an emphasis on legal authority, professional conduct, and real-world responsibilities. Students receive structured, instructor-led training focused on compliance with Maryland law and industry standards.
Successful completion of this course satisfies the Maryland MPCTC training requirements for initial security guard certification.

The 8-hour in-service course covers all MPCTC-required topics and provides structured, instructor-led training focused on maintaining compliance with Maryland regulations. Emphasis is placed on continued professional conduct, legal awareness, and real-world application.
Successful completion of this course satisfies the Maryland MPCTC in-service training requirement for security guard renewal.
